Episode Highlights

Janet Manchuka’s Tips on How to Find Inspiration for Creating Twitter Content

  1. Learn what other people are sharing (to get ideas for yourself):
    • Attend Twitter chats.
    • Create Twitter lists so you can follow conversations.
    • Go to other platforms and search hashtags on topics you want to learn about.
    • Read blog posts from people you’re following on Twitter. (Janet takes 15-60 minutes each day to read three to six blog posts.)
    • Read books on your niche topic.
    • Watch other people’s videos and share them.
  2. Share motivational thoughts when creating content on Twitter.
  3. Consider who your audience is and what you want to be known for in your niche.
  4. Focus on a topic you’re really interested in. It’s OK to start broad and then narrow your niche.

My Favorite Quotes

“Motivation, most of the time, tends to pull people near. It's like speaking to somebody's heart, speaking to somebody's problems, and you're trying to show them that it's OK to go through that.” – Janet MachukaClick To Tweet
“Focus on the audience. Who are you talking to? Why are you talking to them? Are you trying to make them reply? Look at those things to see what you want to be known for.” – Janet MachukaClick To Tweet
